Trail : home : St. Wilfrid's Church and Community News
St. Wilfrid's Church is a beautiful church here in the village of Halton.
At school we are fortunate to benefit from the dedicated support of our vicar, Rev'd Pauline Bicknell, and many other members of the church family.
School services are held in church about 8 times a year and our children use the church throughout the year as a resource to support our learning in RE. St. Wilfrid's is part of the Diocese of Blackburn.

What's happening in the community?
At St. Wilfrid's, we are always looking at ways in which we can maintain our strong links with the local community, utilizing the skills of the staff, children and people living within Halton itself.
The school building itself is used on many occasions by outside agencies and our children often represent the St. Wilfrid's at other locations.
Below is the latest information about St. Wilfrid's Church and St. Wilfrid's School in the community.
*Community Tea Each half term St Wilfrid's welcome members of the local community to come and have afternoon tea with us. Pupils from different classes provide entertainment, giving a glimpse of their current learning in school.
* Fair Trade As part of Fair Trade week, parents and friends of the school were invited into school to see some of the children's work. They were able to buy a cup of fair trade tea and a slice of cake, with proceeds going to charity. We were delighted with turn out for this event.
* Community Open Evening - Everyone was invited to come and look around our school in order to meet staff and find out more about the children's learning.
